摘要: Cyclin-dependent kinases (CDK) form a conserved superfamily of eukaryotic serine-threonine protein kinases, which require binding to cyclin for activity. CDK are involved in different aspects cell biology and notably cycle regulation. The comparison nearly 50 plant CDK-related cDNAs with selected set their animal yeast counterparts reveals five classes these genes plants. These described here respect phylogenetic, structural functional properties. A plant-wide nomenclature is proposed, using system similar that the genes. most numerous class, CDKA, includes coding PSTAIRE canonical motif. CDKB makes up class plant-specific divided into two groups: CDKB1 CDKB2. CDKC, CDKD CDKE less classes. orthologues metazoan CDK7, correspond CDK-activating kinase (CAK). At present, no information available plants CDKC CDKE.
