摘要: The most recent classification of Hyacinthaceae subsumes all members Ornithogaloideae into the single large genus Ornithogalum comprising 250―300 spp. A combined molecular phylogenetic analysis matK, trnL intron, trnL-F spacer and rbcL plastid DNA sequence data was carried out to assess possible alternative treatments. study includes 70 taxa, representing segregate genera that have been recognised in subfamily over 20% species. resulting phylogeny identifies three, well-supported primary clades. Clade comprises a grade constituting majority species Stellarioides plus Madagascan Igidia, which is nested strongly supported clade Albuca Coilonox; B Dipcadi sister Pseudogaltonia; C Eliokarmos, Cathissa, Galtonia, Honorius, Loncomelos, Melomphis, Neopatersonia, Ornithogalum, Zahariadia two Stellarioides. Avonsera convallarioides weakly as rest C. Several are shown not be monophyletic although many lineages identified by correspond lower level taxa group. Each three clades has morphological integrity could taxonomically, either at tribe or genus. Within these clades, however, poorly defined morphologically thus their recognition problematical. Alternative taxonomic treatments assessed but considerations nomenclatural stability utility predicate best infrageneric level. We accordingly prefer define more broadly. Albuca, Pseudogaltonia, Ornithogalum. Monophyletic, diagnosable within treated subgenera sections. revised presented, with necessary new combinations complete listings currently accepted sub-Saharan
