摘要: Abstract Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) is one of the most severe sequelae herpes zoster events. Several risk factors have been reported for PHN, including old age, skin rash, and intense pain. This study therefore aims to evaluate usefulness Self-completed Leeds Assessment Neuropathic Symptoms Signs pain scale (S-LANSS) in conjunction with previously predicting PHN. A group patients (N = 305) were included cohort study. Subjects asked their demographic information, clinical symptoms signs, intensity by visual analog (VAS), S-LANSS. They followed up visits or via telephone 12 months. Nineteen (6.2%) suffered from PHN this Using logistic regression, 3 identified: age ≥70 years, high VAS scores, S-LANSS scores. Prediction using (≥8) (≥15) criteria achieved a sensitivity 78.9% specificity 78.0%. elderly (≥70 years), (≥6) as well, 100% 57.1% specificity. could be useful prediction tool particularly if combined well-known VAS. Perspective Among acute patients, subjects characteristics neuropathic showed frequency The tools screening like helpful enabling early intervention management.
