摘要: Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP), a member of the VIP (vasoactive intestinal polypeptide) family peptides, has been demonstrated in neurons sensory system. PACAP expression these is sensitive to nerve damages such as crush or axotomy. In present study, mesencephalic trigeminal nucleus rat was examined after transsection main trunk masseteric nerve. The primary are considered have purely proprioceptive functions. By quantitative situ hybridization using [35S]cRNA probe, an increase mRNA observed on side ipsilateral already 3 h and reached peak 24 surgery which levels gradually decreased during next 14 days.
