摘要: A major part of the general strategy for defining structure-function relationships ion channels is to reconstitute isolated channel proteins into planar lipid bilayer membranes separating two aqueous compartments. In principle, this allows one manipulate and environments protein elucidate their roles in assembly function vivo. Its success depends on how well can use natural physicochemical behavior system control reconstitution process composition properties itself. Consequently, serious student must come terms with physical chemistry these bilayers variously referred as bilayers, black membranes, or thin films.
