摘要: Pituitary trophic hormone function was evaluated in two groups of acromegalic patients. The first consisted 12 patients who were studied before undergoing conventional x-ray therapy. Of these 12, five found to have deficiencies. After therapy regained gonadotrophic while three developed new deficits. In the second group 16 patients, only after radiation treatment, seven had loss one or more hormones. As a combined group, 15 28 acromegalics (54%) Hypogonadotrophism most frequent, followed next by thyrotrophin and then corticotrophin. general, hypopituitarism could not be related tumor size, duration disease, This relatively high incidence pituitary insufficiency acromegaly suggests that when evaluating treating careful attention should given this complication.
