摘要: Metastable bismuth iron garnet (BIG, an abbreviation of Bi3Fe5O12), one kind garnet-type ferrites, is known to manifest very large Faraday rotation as well low optical absorption in the visible infrared region. We report on successful synthesis thin film composed single-phase BIG epitaxially grown single-crystalline gadolinium gallium (Gd3Ga5O12, GGG) substrate by using mist chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method, which emerging technique for preparation films. The crystal structure, surface morphology, and magnetic, magneto-optical properties resultant films have been explored. has a relatively flat free from roughness compared those prepared other methods. Saturation magnetization about 1620 G at room temperature, close that expected ideal magnetic structure BIG. maximum value angle reaches 54.3 deg/µm wavelength 424 nm. This rather when with reported techniques. dependence analyzed terms electric field (CEF) level schema. Our result suggests CVD method simple effective synthesize excellent properties.
