摘要: One of the major threats facing protected areas (PAs) is land-use change and habitat loss. We assessed impact on PAs. The majority parks have been effective at protecting ecosystems within their borders, even in with significant pressures. More particular, capacity PAs to slow down degradation favour restoration clearly related size, smaller that average follow dominant pattern into which they are embedded. Our results suggest small not going be viable long term if considered as islands surrounded by a ‘human-dominated ocean’. However, are, many cases, only option available, implying we need devote much more attention non-protected matrix must survive.
