摘要: Climate change is the defining development challenge of our time. More than a global environmental issue, climate also threat to poverty reduction and economic growth may unravel many gains made in recent decades. Latin America Caribbean account for relatively modest twelve percent world's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, but communities across region are already suffering adverse consequences from variability. As highlighted 'Reducing Poverty, Protecting Livelihoods, Building Assets Changing (Verner 2010), likely have unprecedented social, economic, environmental, political repercussions.
