摘要: Sixty-five patients with adenocarcinoma of the small intestine were encountered over a 31 year period. The duodenum was most common location, decreasing frequency distally. Associated malignancies present in fourth patients. Presenting signs and symptoms vague related to either obstruction or bleeding. Barium contrast examination endoscopy for duodenal tumors primary diagnostic modalities. Curative treatment wide resection bowel mesentery jejunal ileal pancreaticoduodenectomy tumors. Favorable prognosticators included absence nodal metastases, well-differentiated grade. Stage stage, prognosis parallels that colon. With greater awareness this tumor, it is possible earlier detection will lead improved overall survival.
