摘要: Objective—To investigate relationships between cough frequency and mucus accumulation, airway obstruction, inflammation to determine effects of dexamethasone on coughing score. Animals—13 horses with recurrent obstruction( RAO 6 control horses. Procedure—6 RAO-affected were stabled for 3 days. Coughing was counted 4 hours before each day stabled. Before stabling, tracheal accumulation scored, obstruction assessed via maximal change in pleural pressure (ΔPplmax), evaluated by use cytologic examination bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF).
