摘要: Globally, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is perceived as an important vehicle for building a brand or reputation. Given the link between profitability and reputation, it expected that CSR will drive up. It within this context firms operating in Ghana carry out their initiatives. In Ghana, initiatives are essentially viewed strategic decisions taken by organizations to voluntarily tackle conditions which have potential of hampering accomplishment goals. Thus, constitutes non-governmental interventions addressing some developmental challenges country faces. Principally, most initiatives, terms frequency magnitude investments, performed telecommunication companies, banking institutions, companies extractive industries such mining oil gas. Firms engage tend be foreign-owned. Owing current issues, focus on education, health, environment, entrepreneurship, sports development. visible can found communities, sports, coastal communities near offshore gas production facilities. However, there paucity empirical evidence relationship financial performance Ghanaian context.
