摘要: Centrosomes consist of a pair centrioles surrounded by an amorphous pericentriolar material (PCM). Proteins that contain Pericentrin/AKAP450 centrosomal targeting (PACT) domain have been implicated in recruiting several proteins to the PCM. We show only PACT protein Drosophila (the pericentrin-like [D-PLP]) is associated with both and PCM, essential for efficient recruitment all six PCM components we tested. Surprisingly, however, are eventually recruited centrosomes during mitosis d-plp mutant cells, not dramatically perturbed. Although viable, flies severely uncoordinated, phenotype usually defects mechanosensory neuron function. sensory cilia these neurons malformed nonfunctional mutants. Moreover, flagella sperm nonmotile. Thus, D-PLP formation functional flies.
