摘要: Objective. To assess the acceptability and measurement properties of two generic measures health-related quality life (HRQL): EuroQol Short Form 12-item Health Survey Questionnaire (SF-12) in ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Methods. Instruments were administered by means a self-completed questionnaire to AS patients recruited from across United Kingdom. assessed for data scaling assumptions. Test retest reliability was those reporting no change general health at 2 weeks. The convergent validity both instruments scores correlated with responses transition questions. Responsiveness 6 months. Results. had high completion rates. Although slightly skewed towards better levels health, covered available range sections [EQ-5D EQ-visual analogue scale (EQ-VAS)]. Score distributions approximated normality SF-12. estimates support use group evaluation SF-12 Physical Component Summary score (PCS) individual (> 0.90). Correlations between hypothesized direction moderate level. EQ-VAS strongest linear relationship, specific questions (P < 0.01). PCS most responsive instruments. EQ-5D least instrument. Conclusion. have undergone comprehensive comparative required patient-assessed outcome AS. Adequate acceptability, found evidence supporting instrument responsiveness strong PCS, it very weak Mental Scale (MCS). can be recommended evaluation, is routine practice or research. However, lower MCS limited ability detect may restrict these roles.
