Spin freezing in geometrically frustrated antiferromagnets with weak disorder.

摘要: We investigate the consequences for geometrically frustrated antiferromagnets of weak disorder in strength exchange interactions. Taking as a model classical Heisenberg antiferromagnet with nearest neighbor on pyrochlore lattice, we examine low-temperature behavior. show that spatial modulation generates long-range effective interactions within extensively degenerate ground states clean system. Using Monte Carlo simulations, find spin glass transition at temperature set by strength. Disorder this type, which is generated random strains presence magnetoelastic coupling, may account freezing observed many magnets.
