摘要: Food-induced vasculitis seems to be rare and is considered by some as controversial. The reported cases in the literature are few mostly on adult patients. Described this report two children with severe caused specific foods. They were diagnosed at separate allergy centers that have a special interest food allergies. Case 1 was an 8-year-old girl 9-month history of cutaneous large joints involvement. 2 23-month-old 8-month multiple hospitalizations for recurrent acute mucous membrane In both patients, skin biopsy showed leucocytoclastic vasculitis. neither patients could symptoms attributed drug intake, infection, autoimmunity, or other systemic disease. had moderately elevated serum total immunoglobulin E (IgE) level strongly positive test radioallergosorbent (RAST) cow's milk hen's egg, which proven cause elimination-challenge tests. slightly IgE level, but negative tests foods, including chocolate suspected mother. Avoidance resulted remission, except following accidental ingestion cocoa-containing products. These findings support previous reports food-induced vasculitis, entity may more common than currently realized.
