摘要: Transcriptional inhibitors (TI) repress global transcription and induce apoptosis. It has been suggested that induction of p53 is one the hallmarks transcriptional repression. Two recent papers treatment human cancer cells with TIs, leads to p53-dependent, transcription-independent or transcription-dependent The latter mechanism linked fact TIs can be selective in their inhibitory effects thereby permitting some genes. However, majority other published data suggest these drugs p53-independent In this article I discuss mechanisms TI-dependent cell death potential role process.
