Electrogenerated chemiluminescence. 42. Electrochemistry and electrogenerated chemiluminescence of the tris(2,2'-bipyrazine)ruthenium(II) system

摘要: The electrochemical behavior and electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ecl) of Ru(bpz)/sub 3//sup 2 +/ (as the PF/sub 6//sup -/ salt) in acetonitrile solutions were investigated. Oxidation to 3+ form reduction 1+, 0, 1-, 2- forms occur at potentials about 0.5V more positive than those for corresponding bipyridine complex. Emission characteristic +/* is produced upon electron-transfer reaction between 1+ species. Weak emission also results from species with solvent or impurities.
