摘要: Worldwide, Group A Rotavirus (RVA) is recognized as the most common aetiological agent of acute diarrheal disease in children. One hundred and ninety seven positive faecal samples were obtained from patients between 2006 2008. Reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to amplify VP7 VP4 gene segments these samples, G P typing carried out subsequently. The strain type G1P[8], emergent global G9-type identified both years. RVA G2P[4], previously reported Ireland 1999, also detected. Genotypes G2 G3 combination with P[4] detected 2006–2007 only. There an emergence types including G3P[4], G9P[4], G2P[4 + 8] G2G4P[8] this study. Molecular analysis genes revealed G1 strains circulating within lineage Ic Ireland. In addition, new sublineage I identified. Analysis G4 NRVL-Hum-49 similarity other human viruses Ib. G9 NRVL-Hum-74 clustered a unique strain, CIT-254, IIIc. This data supports observations made that profile appears be dynamic. study demonstrates circulation rotavirus changing continuously Ireland, continued surveillance needed detect appearance strains, or variants which may lead vaccine breakthrough.
