摘要: OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to evaluate three thyroid blockade regimes determine which protocol provides the optimal level thyroidal protection for paediatric 123-I-meta-iodobenzylguanidine (mIBG) imaging and estimate relative radiation dose inferred from unbound radioiodine. METHODS A total 231 patients were retrospectively evaluated uptake categorised into five subgroups depending upon received. Efficacy established by visual scoring image quantitation with comparison against a control group. RESULTS Visual Likert scale responses subjected Mann-Whitney U Kruskal-Wallis tests, respectively. Statistical significance reached observed in potassium perchlorate recipients (U = 1107, P = 0.001). No statistically significant difference iohexol (U = 176, P = 0.71) or iodate despite variations dosage duration (χ(2) = 0.203, P = 0.93). analyses repeated data. significantly higher absorbed using compared group (U = 719, did not reach statistical (U = 126, P = 0.209, r = -0.13). test, conducted across groups, (χ(2) = 0.513, P = 0.774). median groups ranged 3.58 3.91 mGy indicating comparable effectiveness single-dose iodate. CONCLUSION Potassium is more efficacious within cohort observed. Both quantitative data indicate that given at 30-60 min before I-mIBG injection lengthier administrations, suggesting single well tolerated practical.
