摘要: Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatases have been isolated from a number of sources. These enzymes consist one subunit (Mr 30,000-40,000) or two dissimilar subunits 15,000-20,000). Previously we the enzyme human osteoclastomas, as two-subunit protein. By Northern blotting and hybridization with radiolabelled oligonucleotides corresponding to N-terminal sequences subunits, demonstrate here that is transcribed mRNA which translated in vitro produce single polypeptide approx. Mr 33,000. Transcription species also case other tissues. results suggest osteoclastoma undergoes post-translational modification form cleavage peptide bond give disulphide-bonded
