摘要: Abstract A high-resolution SWAN wind wave hindcast model was implemented for the Sea of Marmara. For this, we focused firstly on quality two data sources forcing, viz., ERA-Interim winds from ECMWF and CFSR NOAA/NCEP. These were compared against measurements 2013 collected at Silivri offshore buoy in north sensitivity analysis performed to find optimal numerical settings source. This showed that are most suited modeling As Marmara can practically be considered as deep water, calibrated different combinations input whitecapping source terms. The calibration by varying coefficient combinations. setting giving lowest errors highest correlation via determined model. Thirdly, validated years 2014, 2015 2016. validation confirmed with forcing better than default settings. Lastly, performance assessed height ranges, sources, annually per season, their directional properties using roses, distribution function Quantile – plots along extreme waves. offers almost same waves recurrent periods measurements.
