摘要: Clinician perceptions of clinical innovations affect their adoption and spread. This study investigated mental health clinicians’ (n = 163) a patient-facing smartphone application (app) for prolonged exposure (PE) therapy posttraumatic stress disorder, before its public release. After reading description the app, participants rated it based on diffusion theory constructs. Perceptions were generally favorable regarding app’s relative advantage over existing PE practices, compatibility with values needs, complexity. Age (<40 years), ownership, having used apps in care related to more perceptions. Smartphone advantage, complexity significantly predicted intention use app if available. These findings suggest that clinicians are receptive using dissemination efforts should target sub-groups maximize adoption.
