摘要: Complex barriers at the brain's surface, particularly in development, are poorly defined. In adult, arachnoid blood-cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) barrier separates fenestrated dural vessels from CSF by means of a cell layer joined tight junctions. Outer CSF-brain provides diffusion restriction between brain and subarachnoid through an initial radial glial end feet covered with pial surface layer. To further characterize these interfaces we examined embryonic rat brains E10 to P0 forebrains human embryos fetuses (6–21st weeks post-conception) adults using immunohistochemistry confocal microscopy. Antibodies against claudin-11, BLBP, collagen 1, SSEA-4, MAP2, YKL-40, its receptor IL-13Rα2 EAAT1 were used describe morphological characteristics functional aspects outer barriers. Claudin-11 was reliable marker blood-CSF barrier. Collagen 1 delineated space stained BLBP defined SSEA-4 YKL-40 present both leptomeningeal cells layer, which transformed into limitans. illustrating transporter/receptor presence MAP2 immunostaining adult outlined lower border glia limitans; remnants positive some areas. We propose that composed least 3 interfaces: across microvessels, comprising layer/pial
