摘要: The identification of homologous regions within and between genomes is an essential prerequisite for studying genome structure evolution. Different methods already exist that allow detecting in automated manner. These are based either on finding sequence similarities at the DNA level or identifying chromosomal showing conservation gene order content. Especially latter approach has proven useful homology highly divergent regions. However, until now, such map-based approaches required candidate show significant collinearity with other segments to be considered as being homologous. Here, we present a novel method creates profiles combining content information multiple mutually genomic segments. can used scan one more detect entire profile but not necessarily individual When applying this new combined Arabidopsis rice, find additional evidence ancient duplication events rice genome.
