摘要: Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ), a primary regulator of adipocyte differentiation, has been implicated in the regulation monocyte and macrophage function vitro. We report that PPARγ protein is expressed porcine peripheral white blood cells (WBC), PPARγ1 but not γ2 mRNA predominates. Additionally, we provide first evidence vivo lipopolysaccharide challenge (LPS, 25 μg/kg BW) causes dynamic increase expression WBC (P < 0.05). was increased 2-fold over basal (1 hr post-LPS), maximal by 4 (3-fold), normalized to control 8 post-LPS. Changes coincided with or closely followed LPS-induced changes plasma cortisol, TNF-α, insulin, IGF-1, glucose, free fatty acids. These data suggest induction may play role host response acute inflammatory prove be an important target anti-inflammatory therapies.
