摘要: Objective Glycaemic control is critical to prevent diabetic complications and mortality. This 6-month, open-label, observational study assessed the efficacy safety of switching Japanese patients with type 2 diabetes from neutral protamine Hagedorn (NPH) insulin detemir. Methods Patients (n = 126) receiving basal-bolus therapy NPH plus rapid-acting analogues were recruited. was replaced detemir for 6 months. Glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA(1c)), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), daily levels hypoglycaemia monitored. Nocturnal quality life by related at night questionnaire. Results HbA(1c), FPG body weight all significantly reduced after treatment months, without increasing severe hypoglycaemia. Insulin dose increased over same time. There significant improvements in overall nocturnal life, as well well-being. Conclusions Treatment months resulted substantial benefits, including weight,
