摘要: Cardiovascular disease is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in contemporary societies. While progress conventional treatment modalities making steady incremental gains to reduce this burden, there remains need explore new potentially therapeutic approaches. Gene therapy, which was initially envisioned as strategy for inherited monogenic disorders, has been found hold broader potential that also includes acquired polygenic diseases, such atherosclerosis, arrhythmias, heart failure. Advances the understanding molecular basis conditions these, together with evolution increasingly efficient gene transfer technology, have placed some cardiovascular pathophysiologies within reach gene-based therapy. In fact, therapy holds great promise targeted diseases. One hurdles effective delivery viral vectors heart. chapter, we will present various types techniques preclinical, large animal models
