摘要: Abstract A laboratory system for the semi-automatic culture of fairy shrimps is described and evaluated. The design directed towards an automation both algal food feeding organisms themselves. are reared in conical tanks, equipped with a recirculation consisting sand filter. Deposited cysts collected separate compartment, which easily removed further processing harvest. Streptocephalus proboscideus, subtropical species, was at initial density 56 animals/litre. Several physico-chemical biological variables were monitored regular intervals compared to results derived from static/renewal 30 individuals/litre discontinuous supply. present proved be reliable technique maintaining good rearing conditions, assuring low mortality rates (±5% per week) high cyst production (±200 brood cycle) experimental shrimp population (sex ratio 1 ), opening possibilities several types applications aquaculture aquatic toxicology. Total yielded average 18 000 day unit (volume: 61).
