摘要: Abstract Antidepressants such as tricyclic antidepressants have become used to treat a variety of chronic pain conditions. However, the side effects are dose-limiting in treatment pain. Milnacipran is norepinephrine/serotonin reuptake inhibitor that does not severe associated with traditional antidepressants. The intrathecal and systemic administration milnacipran on spinal nerve ligation (SNL)–induced thermal mechanical hypersensitivity shift weight bearing were determined. Intrathecal was found reverse both SNL-induced tactile (to von Frey filaments) hypersensitivity, well bearing. Acute also reversed injury–induced for up 5 hours but failed or Of note, subcutaneous induced antinociception SNL sham rats. Chronic (daily) alleviated bearing, acute observed hypersensitivity. alleviate filaments. These results indicate different mechanisms underlie Perspective ability relieve allodynia, hyperalgesia, depends route duration treatment, alleviation result activity within central—rather than peripheral—nervous system.
