摘要: 1. Intracellular recordings from CA1 pyramidal cells in the rat hippocampal slice preparation have been used to study neuronal pathways involved synaptic inhibition. 2. When direct comparisons are made a single cell, orthodromic stimulation delivered stratum (s.) radiatum normal recording conditions is found be more effective than antidromic producing inhibitory post-synaptic potentials (i.p.s.p.s). 3. Orthodromic i.p.s.p.s appear complex, multiphasic events, whereas relatively simple. The i.p.s.p. involves both GABA-mediated dendritic component and non-GABA-mediated neither of which activated by stimulation. 4. Barbiturates induce late depolarizing phase response, `depolarizing i.p.s.p.', mediated GABA. not produced stimulation. 5. Injections tetrodotoxin bicuculline methiodide localized either somatic or apical regions reveal that GABA released elements field acts on cell dendrites. 6. strongly temperature-dependent increases amplitude duration progressively as slices cooled 37 22 °C. 7. Depolarizing can s. oriens well radiatum. In each case dendrites stimulated. 8. We conclude evident presence barbiturates caused same release produces hyperpolarizing i.p.s.p.s. 9. Numerous between indicate feed-forward pathways.
