摘要: Many studies have been conducted to investigate the effect of n-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (LCPUFA) supplementation during perinatal period on growth and neurobehavioural development young children. Most these intervention trials involved infants from high-income countries, a significant proportion investigated infant formulas. Generally, formula for preterm rather than term has demonstrated more consistent, positive effects aspects development, while both appears unaffected by LCPUFA supplementation. Maternal pregnancy consistently resulted in modest increases birth size, most recent study suggests that this is also true women low-income environments. The maternal global outcomes children born at remains unclear, although expressing milk their does improve performance tests neurodevelopment. Further work required determine whether dietary neuroprotective disadvantaged or backgrounds.
