摘要: GABA-containing synaptic terminals in the cat superior colliculus include two varieties of presynaptic dendrite and at least one type axon terminal with flattened vesicles. These anatomically distinct profiles probably also mediate different types inhibition. Whether they are associated GABA receptor is unknown objective present paper. We used antibody mAb 62-3G1 directed against β2,β3 subunits GABAA complex to determine whether distribution this subunit specific or more synapse. At light microscope level, immunoreactivity was densely distributed within neuropil zonal superficial gray layers, lightly optic, intermediate, deep layers. No cell bodies were labelled by but numerous cells contained internalized cytoplasmic intermediate gray, deeper ultrastructural sites opposite that vesicles (F profiles) often immunoreactive, while postsynaptic dendrites (PSD never immunoreactive. The label F usually filled cleft coated plasma membrane. Some membrane-associated found non-synaptic sites. We conclude selectively vesicle not dendrites, a result which supports evidence those
