摘要: Abstract In a survey of the Drina catchment, Yugoslavia, during July and August 1986, otters were found to be widespread with spraints recorded at 41 (97·6%) 42 sites investigated. Otters present on all tributaries streams down 2m wide. Throughout area agriculture industry limited most rivers showed no signs pollution. there was abundant cover suitable undisturbed for holts. It is suggested that little immediate threat this apparently healthy otter population. Fish important prey but crayfish also small strems silt deposits in slack water. A significant correlation between number per kilometre sample percentage occurrence spraints.
