摘要: Abstract In quality management, ‘common-cause variation’ and ‘special-cause are key concepts used to control improve different types of processes. this paper we study the meaning these concepts, having a special focus on latter concept: how is special-cause concept linked ideas in risk uncertainty reflect unforeseen surprising events? discourse it common refer two possible mistakes when confronting variation: (i) react an outcome as if were from cause, actually came causes variation; (ii) treat variation, cause. However, at point decision making difficult or impossible know what “true” state is. It also appropriate ask whether such true does fact exist. discuss issues, main aim being our understanding some fundamental management.
