摘要: Regional Sediment Quality Guidelines (SQG) for metals from the Basque Country (northern Spain) were determined. These guidelines are proposed to be used management purposes, within Water Framework Directive (WFD). SQG determined on basis of sediment chemistry, toxicity and benthic community disturbance, 961 estuarine coastal samples. The calculated using a percentile approach (effect non-effect data), following normalisation fine-sediment content with non-normalisation. feasibility was quantified by incidence adverse effects, that is, ratio effect/no-effect data, which increased significantly increasing ranges. study proposes formula calculate SQG:  μg·g−1/FC. 10−2 (where FC is SQG* normalised SQG). 13.5 μg·g−1 As, 1 μg·g−1 Cd, 39 μg·g−1 Cr, 55 μg·g−1 Cu, 0.53 μ g·g−1 Hg, 23 μg·g−1 Ni, 78 μ Pb 249 μg·g−1 for...
