摘要: To evaluate whether beta-catenin signaling has a role in the regulation of angiogenesis colon cancer, series angiogenesis-related gene promoters was analyzed for beta-catenin/TCF binding sites. Strikingly, promoter human vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF, or VEGF-A) contains seven consensus sites beta-catenin/TCF. Analysis laser capture microdissected cancer tissue indicated direct correlation between up-regulation VEGF-A expression and adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) mutational status (activation signaling) primary tumors. In metastases, this not observed. by immunohistochemistry intestinal polyps mice heterozygous multiple neoplasia (Min/+) at 5 months revealed an increase redistribution proximity to those cells expressing nuclear with corresponding vessel density. Transfection normal epithelial activated up-regulated levels mRNA protein 250-300%. When elevated were treated antisense oligodeoxynucleotides, reduced more than 50%. Taken together, our observations indicate close link cancer.
