摘要: The acute and chronic effects of abused psychostimulants on monoamine transporters associated neurobiology have encouraged development candidate medications that target these transporters. Monoamine transporters, in general, dopamine particular, are critical molecular targets mediate abuse-related such as cocaine amphetamine. Moreover, administration can cause enduring changes reflected dysregulation neurochemistry behavior. current review will evaluate evidence for the efficacy transporter inhibitors substrates to reduce stimulants preclinical assays stimulant self-administration, drug discrimination, reinstatement. In considering deployment transport agonist-type treat abuse, safety abuse liability an obvious concern, this also be addressed. Future directions discovery should identify novel retain decrease use but possess lower degree which efficacious attenuate or reverse neurobiological use.
