摘要: The European Habitats Directive is the main legislative work regarding Europe's nature conservation policy. It lists protected habitats and species in Union. include 122 arthropods. 2. current of arthropods (Annexes II IV) present, possibly among other, five obvious biases: taxonomic, geographic, range, size aesthetic biases. Species selected taxa (Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Odonata Orthoptera), from Northern or Central Europe, relatively widespread, a large body attrac- tive are favoured over other taxa, southern Mediterranean Eur- ope, endemic small inconspicuous. Such biases obstacles to effective protection fauna. 3. Two strategies should be followed avoid these problems therefore increase effectiveness policies: (i) adoption objective transparent criteria for listing species, (ii) implement regular updates amendments based on such criteria.
