摘要: Abstract Adenovirus VA RNAs (virus-associated RNAs) are small polymerase III transcripts that required for efficient initiation of mRNA translation late in adenovirus infection. VAI RNA prevents double-stranded (dsRNA) activation the interferon-induced protein kinase (DAI kinase). Activation this results phosphorylation alpha subunit eukaryotic factor 2 (eIF-2 alpha) and correlates with inhibition initiation. In report we show growth complementation adenoviruses harboring deletions gene cell lines expressing a serine-to-alanine mutant eIF-2 alpha. This is resistant to by DAI kinase. These directly primary function lytic infection identify as target mediates effects activation. Cells express will enable isolation specific host-range mutants other types viruses defective ability inhibit
