摘要: A revision of the genus Leopoldamys is presented, and both species composition distribution in Indochina Sundaic regions reinvestigated. The phylogeny recovered based on Cyt b, COI, IRBP gene analyses. Five basal 16 secondary monophyletic phylogenetic lineages were identified. taxonomic reassessment continental populations performed morphological verification genetically defined clades. Six clades analyses correspond to morphologically species: L. revertens (distributed lowlands eastern central Indochina), herberti (western Indochina, northward northern Vietnam), edwardsi (China Vietnam, 21 degrees N), milleti (endemic Dalat Plateau, southern sabanus (Borneo), vociferans (lowlands Malacca Peninsula, southwestern Thailand). absence proper revealed. substitute name for known from majority under should be revertens. neilli, which has been ascribed Thailand a junior synonym herberti. Two related but rather divergent are found Sumatra Peninsula. Based their considerable genetic distances, these forms regarded as separate type-bearing Borneo, or members polytypic superspecies. lineage-bearing taxon vociferans. can distinguished each other by external cranial characters may subdivided into four species. (L. milleti) well morphology, whereas two edwardsi) treated sibling that difficult distinguish characters.
