摘要: Yellow perch (Perca flavescens) exhibits an estrogen-stimulated sexual size dimorphism (SSD) wherein females grow faster and larger than males. To aid in the examination of this phenomenon, cDNA sequences encoding estrogen receptor-α (esr1), receptor-βa (esr2a) ovarian aromatase (cyp19a1a) for teleost yellow were obtained. Several tissues analyzed from both male female adult sex-specific tissue expression. The full length cDNAs esr1, esr2a cyp19a1a consist 3052 bp, 2462 bp 1859 with open reading frames putative proteins 576 amino acids, 555 acids 518 respectively. Esr1 expression was highest ovary liver low to moderate other tissues. Esr2a showed a more global pattern particularly males but also females. Cyp19a1a spleen oocytes pituitary gill tissue. moderately high undetectable tissue, suggesting its involvement sexually dimorphic growth. These are valuable molecular tools that can be used future studies investigating mechanisms actions, such as SSD, perch.
