摘要: The properties and operating characteristics of the positive column a low‐pressure in argon have been investigated experimentally theoretically. In experiments pressure was varied from 5×10−2 to 1 Torr, discharge current 0.2–20 mA, tube 2.6 cm inside diameter. Measurements axial electric field, electron density population 3P2 metastable states are reported for various conditions. A test is made usefulness two‐moment theory which applicable intermediate range this work, i.e., transition inertia‐limited mobility‐limited flow ions wall, prediction characteristics.
