摘要: Obesity is associated with an increased cardiovascular risk, but the mechanisms underlying link between body weight and vascular disease are incompletely understood. Over past 15 years, perivascular adipose tissue has emerged as active component of vessel wall involved in homeostasis. However, can adopt detrimental properties under influence obesity other factors contribute actively to pathophysiology disease. Conversely, changes may negatively affect qualities. In this review, we will discuss recent literature on possible direct indirect connections fat alterations pathologies. addition clinical evidence association mass morphology anthropometric measures or reciprocal connection cardiometabolic risk disease, special emphasis be placed results rodent models contribution local depots dysfunction, neointima formation atherosclerosis. We briefly highlight from human murine genome, miRNome proteome-wide expression analyses potential candidate mediators its paracrine activities present data how obesity, age diabetes, also preventive loss exercise impact patterns. A better understanding unique depot, regulatory mechanisms, create opportunities for novel diagnostic therapeutic strategies combat consequences weight.
