摘要: Abstract In the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae G-protein beta gamma subunits have been shown to trigger downstream events of pheromone response pathway. We identified a new gene, designated STE20, which encodes protein kinase homologue with sequence similarity C, is required transmit signal from G components signalling Overproduction suppresses mating defect dominant-negative mutations providing genetic evidence for an interaction beta, and epistasis experiments show that this functions after or at same point as gamma, but before any other currently This points potentially mechanism mediated transduction, activation through gamma.
