摘要: Abstract Two processing routes for the composite system Al 2 O 3 SiC (SiC content ranging from 2.5 to 25 vol%) in water have been developed, using powder with a chemically modified surface. For each system, slurry properties were optimised by measuring adsorption isotherms and rheological behaviour. Slurries high solid loadings (47 homogeneous distribution could be realised. Green bodies of densities (up 62% theory) various contents prepared slip casting into porous mould drying air. Pressureless sintering was conducted under different atmospheres (N2 or Ar) temperatures (1690 1950 °C). Sintering conditions obtain strongly depend on route composite. Best results one obtained 10 15 vol% samples, reaching 97.5% theory when sintered 1 h N2 at 1880 °C. A sample other developed containing 5 densified up 98.2% 1800
