摘要: Purpose To assess the clinical outcomes after continuous intracorneal ring (ICR) implantation for management of keratoconus using femtosecond laser technology. Setting Farabi Eye Hospital, Tehran University Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. Design Prospective nonrandomized consecutive case series. Methods All patients presented with reduced visual acuity, contact lens intolerance, and a central corneal thickness more than 360 μm. A Myoring ICR was inserted in an intrastromal pocket created by laser. The visual, refractive, aberrometric, biomechanical were measured preoperatively as well 1, 3, 6 months 1 year postoperatively. Results study comprised 98 keratoconic eyes mean age 30.7 years ± 9.01 (SD). Fifteen (15.3%) had grade I keratoconus, 37 (37.7%) II 24 (24.5%) III 22 (22.4%) IV keratoconus. uncorrected corrected distance acuities spherical cylindrical errors improved 1 month surgery ( P >.05). keratometry astigmatism decreased month Primary coma significantly =.03), aberrations increased Conclusion Continuous appears to be acceptable substitute keratoplasty advanced Financial Disclosure No author has financial or proprietary interest any material method mentioned.
