摘要: The haemostatic state and the lipid profile in hypertensive patients effects of antihypertensive drugs on these parameters were investigated. C-reactive protein (CRP) was also measured for its great role detecting future cardiovascular events. One hundred one with essential hypertension mild to moderate grades included this study. Those either therapy, off-treatment or they newly diagnosed hypertensives. Forty eight normotensive subjects selected from general population acted as control. Serum lipids (total cholesterol, TC; triglyceride, TG; low density lipoprotein, LDL; high HDL very VLDL) (prothrombin time, PT; partial thromboplastin PTT platelets count) well renal hepatic functions assessed all normal subjects. CRP measured. A two-tailed independent t-test at = 0.05 level significance used. results indicated that is significantly lower VLDL higher than Hypertensives atenolol those diuretics have levels TC, TG LDL normotensives. Hypertensive captopril TC compared atenolol. Patients longer duration greater possibility having positive levels. No significant differences found PT, count between hypertensives As a conclusion, antihypertensives do an effect CRP, namely β-selective blockers like which may induce shift towards more atherogenic profile. This means careful choice according comorbid disease risk factors.
