An interdisciplinary evaluation of pharmacy on a global medical mission trip

摘要: Objectives:  To assess the impact of working with student pharmacists on a global mission trip and examine the  perceptions undergraduate graduate students regard to pharmacists' participation. Methods: Medical, nursing, pre-health who participated in an interdisciplinary medical Honduras 2014, 2015, 2016 completed pre- post-test surveys study objectives. Results: Thirty-three (100%) surveys. Findings revealed non-pharmacy awareness pharmacy students’ ability provide assistance international travel clinic improved ( p <0.05). Non-pharmacy strongly agreed that understood difficulties nuances their role as healthcare professional; enhanced patient care; medication errors dosing, potential drug interactions side effects would be reduced participation teams Conclusion: Inter-professional trips opportunity for collaborate understand unique roles team members.
