摘要: Treatment with cyclophosphamide and antithymocyte serum (ATS) did not significantly increase the susceptibility of mice to bluetongue virus infections nervous system. Cyclophosphamide actually inhibited growth in newborn 2-week-old and, mice, diminished severity virus-induced pathologic sequelae. Autoradiographic studies suggested this inhibition resulted from effect on immature cells subventricular zone which were cell population selectively infected by virus. In ATS inflammatory reaction development antibody, but result alterations mortality, initial localization or early necrosis zone. Antithymocyte only caused longer persistence slight extension late lesions. The failure treatment induce more extensive lesions older show that age-dependency is determined immaturity immune responses.
